Candidate profiles

If you create a candidate profile, we hold your first name, email address, the first half of your postcode, how far you will travel, and the work, experience, qualifications and availability you tell us. We hold it because you asked us to, so care employers can find you, and you can withdraw that at any time by hiding or deleting your profile.

Verified care employers see your profile without your name, email or full postcode. If an employer invites you, we share your name and contact details with that employer only if you accept. We never sell profiles or pass them to recruitment agencies.

A profile nobody has signed in to for 180 days stops appearing to employers. Deleting your profile removes it straight away.

Each time a verified employer searches, we log which employer searched, what they searched for and which anonymous profiles came up. Your profile page shows how often you appeared. We keep the log for 12 months so any access to your profile can be accounted for, then delete it.

Applications

When you apply for a job we pass your name, contact details, your message and whether you have the right to work in the UK to that employer so they can consider you. We pass it to nobody else and we do not sell candidate data to recruitment agencies.

Job alerts

If you ask for job alerts we keep your email address and the search you saved, and email you when new adverts match. Nothing is sent until you confirm from the link we email. Every alert email has a link to stop it, and you can remove alerts from your alerts page at any time.

How long we keep it

We hold application records for 12 months so employers can revisit a shortlist, then delete them. Ask us sooner and we will delete yours.

Employer accounts

We hold your name, email, organisation and billing details while the account is open. Payments go through Stripe and we never see your card number.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email privacy@carejobs247.co.uk. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
